Electric Process Heat at a New Temperature Level

The LiquiCore™ High-Temperature Screw Heater enables the precise and efficient thermal treatment of bulk solids in the range of approx. 230 °C to 600 °C. It is suitable for applications such as pyrolysis, calcination, high-temperature drying, and thermal activation of solids, significantly expanding the operational limits of conventional screw heat exchangers.

LiquiCore™ is the answer to new environmental challenges (PFAS). By safely and homogenously reaching temperatures of up to 600 °C, LiquiCore™ creates the prerequisites for the thermal desorption of these persistent pollutants. The system is suitable for the treatment of contaminated soils and sewage sludge as well as for the reactivation of loaded adsorbents (e.g., activated carbon) by transferring pollutants into the gas phase for effective separation. In doing so, LiquiCore™ closes the gap between classic dryers and complex high-temperature incineration plants.

Innovative Technology The technology is based on a newly developed screw shaft featuring a hermetically sealed core, in which electrical heating elements are embedded within a low-melting-point metal. Thanks to its high thermal conductivity, the liquefied metal ensures fast, uniform, and efficient heat distribution across the entire length of the shaft. Optionally, the trough jacket can also be electrically heated.

Fully Electric Operation The fully electric operation eliminates the need for heat transfer fluids like thermal oil, thereby reducing plant complexity, maintenance requirements, and potential leaks. At the same time, it enables exact temperature control and short response times.

Customized Design The design is individually customized according to process requirements, utilizing heat-resistant stainless steels, special alloys, optimized screw geometries, as well as integrated control and regulation technology. This ensures safe, reproducible, and homogeneous high-temperature process control.
