The mechanical engineering company Köllemann GmbH mourns the loss of its founder.

The entrepreneur Anton J. Köllemann passed away on Monday, the 22 of March 2021.

In deepest sorrow we say goodbye to our company founder, who passed away unexpectedly on March 22, 2021 at the age of 77.

Mr. Köllemann laid the foundation of today’s company Köllemann GmbH by acquiring and transforming the Adenau machine factory, Horst Kuprat GmbH, in 1978.

For decades he has shaped the success of the company with his entrepreneurial vision and sense of opportunity. He was a role model for all employees due to his high level of motivation and commitment.

With his consistent engineering approach, he opened the door to enter the world market for the (then) A.J. Köllemann GmbH.

The company still benefits from his inventions and innovations to this day.

Under his leadership numerous patents were registered for the first time in the company’s history and it enabled and consolidated our place as world market leader in the field of screw heat exchangers.

Thanks to his work and creation, he paved the way to transform the “locksmith’s workshop” into an internationally renowned mechanical engineering company.

Over and above he did not only increase the production capacities, but also created approx. 80 jobs in the structurally weak Eifel region at the Adenau location.

Despite the constant growth of the company, the hierarchies remained flat and the interaction collegial.

To this day, Köllemann employees can trust on a reliable employer.

We acknowledge and are grateful for an entrepreneur who was a dependable employer and forward-thinking businessman.

We will miss him and do wish his family and friends much strength in this difficult time of loss.
