Köllemann GmbH as a partner to Holcim Czech to implement an energy-efficient heat recovery system to optimize calcined clay cement production

Köllemann GmbH, a leading provider of industrial process technology, announced in September a major contract with Holcim Czech, which is part of the Holcim Group, a global building materials company, to install a state-of-the-art heat recovery system at their Čížkovice facility.

This large-scale project, a testament to Köllemann GmbH’s expertise in energy-efficient solutions, will significantly reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions in the cement production process. By capturing and reusing waste heat from the production process to dry the input material, a kind of clay, Holcim will not only lower its environmental impact but also contribute to a more sustainable future.
The heat recovery system at the Holcim facility in Čížkovice will be the second of its kind, following the successful implementation of a similar system in the Saint-Pierre-la-Cour project in France. This demonstrates Köllemann GmbH’s proven track record in delivering innovative and effective energy-saving solutions for the cement industry.

“We are proud to partner with Holcim Czech on this ambitious project,” said Matthias Ginster, Head of Sales at Köllemann GmbH.
“Our heat recovery system will make a significant contribution to reducing the cement industry’s carbon footprint, and we are committed to delivering innovative solutions that help our customers achieve their sustainability goals.”
This collaboration marks a significant step forward in the cement industry’s efforts to reduce its carbon footprint and adopt more sustainable practices.
